(Certainly), you should willingly endure labor and sorrows, temptations, vexations, anxieties, necessities, illness, injuries, contradictions, rebukes, humiliations, doubts, chastisements, and contempt. These things are all aids to virtue; these test one who has begun to follow Christ; these mold a heavenly crown.

神への愛として、心良く耐えるべきことがある。
労苦、そして悲しみ、誘惑、ままならないこと、心配事、困窮、病気、けが、矛盾、人からの非難叱責、屈辱、疑い、懲罰、さげすみ。

これらは、美徳を形成のための、すべて手助けとなる。

キリストにならうことを始めた者にとっての試練（テスト）なのだ。
これらが、貴方の、天国に入るための証（冠）を形作る。
